Simon came to the new world on the ship "Elliot" under Captain James Adams and arrived in Philadelphia and took the oath at the court house on Thursday, August 24, 1949.

The family apparently walked from Philadelphia to the wilderness of what is now Springfield Township in Bucks County, PA.

Simon and his family were prominent members of the early settlement in  Springfield.
